Separatist camp
A group decided to hide out in the woods of Los Angeles during WWII. After the guy in Germany they like lost, they thought it better to abandon things and blend in. So this haven in the woods is a favorite place for hikers, graffiti artist, and others. It is also a great place for an adventurous photographer. Estes Park in Rock Mountain National Park.
9,000 ft above sea level, and about 3.5 miles from the parking lot. Also not very far from the head waters of the mighty Colorado river. I traveled there on wonderful family event, and some of us went for this hike in the incredible Rocky Mountains. This beautiful setting make the fact that I was 9,000 ft above where my lungs wanted to be. The magic of nature inspired me, and gave me a new appreciation for the term "Rocky mountain high".

Boston Bridge
Zakim Bridge over the Charles river in Boston. Completed in 2003. Taken from Causeway St. next to TD Garden. This was my first time in Boston, wandering from Boston Gardens to the U.S.S. Constitution. The weather was wonderfully warm and the skies were clear. Boston is a big city with a wonderful mix of old and new. The people go about with the normal life of a big city, but they do have a genuine kindness to them. There is a sense of safety, and no one gave me any troubles as I was going about sticking my camera where I might.
Specs: Taken March 8th, 2012, 1/320 sec at f/22 with my Nikon zoom lens at 55 mm set at ISO 400.
